EXDIA PT10 · POC clinical chemistry

Check-up from the fingertip: clinical chemistry for medical practices and pharmacies.

Results before the patient leaves.

One hands-on step – the analyzer does the rest

No centrifuge, no liquid reagents, maintenance-free.

  1. Blood onto the test panel Capillary from the fingertip or venous: 70 µL, HbA1c 1 µL.
  2. Measurement in the analyzer Dry chemistry in a disposable test panel.
  3. Read the result “Results” menu on the touchscreen, as a printout or in your practice software.

The lab is inside the test panel

Dry chemistry in a disposable panel: plasma separation, calibration and measurement all happen inside the analyzer.

Each test panel holds the reagents for up to 9 parameters. Once inserted, the analyzer separates the plasma automatically, the QR code on the panel calibrates the measurement – and the reaction chambers are read optically.

For pharmacies: the health check customers come back for.

A fingertip check-up – results during the consultation.

If values are abnormal, your team recommends seeing a doctor – the check complements medical care.

Questions & answers

What sample does EXDIA PT10 need?
70 µL of whole blood – capillary from the fingertip or venous; the HbA1c panel needs only 1 µL. The other panels can also use plasma or serum; HbA1c is measured from whole blood only. No centrifuge is needed: the analyzer separates the plasma automatically.
How quickly are results available?
Depending on the panel, EXDIA PT10 measures up to 9 parameters simultaneously from one sample. Results are ready in 6 to 10 minutes depending on the panel (Lipid 5: 6 minutes, HbA1c: 7 minutes) – within the same visit.
How precise are the results?
Results show up to 95 % agreement with central laboratories. In comparison data, results correlated with central laboratory analyses at R = 0.977–0.999 (Jeong TD et al., Lab Med Online 2013).
How does quality control work?
EXDIA PT10 runs an electronic quality control (eQC) with every test. We advise you on additional quality control in line with your national requirements.
Which panels are available?
Five panels: Biochemistry 9, Wellness 9, Lipid 5, Hepatic 9 and HbA1c – 18 parameters in total, including lipids, glucose, HbA1c, liver and kidney values.
Is EXDIA PT10 suitable for pharmacies?
Yes. Using capillary blood from the fingertip, pharmacies can offer health checks such as lipid, glucose or wellness checks as an additional service – results in about 10 minutes, operated by trained staff. If values are abnormal, the pharmacy recommends a visit to the doctor.
Can results be transferred to the practice software?
Yes. EXDIA PT10 connects via WiFi, Ethernet or USB and supports the HL7, ASTM and POCT1-A data formats. The built-in thermal printer prints results on request; 5,000 results are stored.
Who manufactures EXDIA PT10 and who supports me?
The manufacturer is Precision Biosensor Inc. Sales, training and service are provided by NanoEntek Europe, with a personal contact.
